A TIME LINE
1973:
I earned a bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Brooks Institute of Photography.
For the next 22 years, as the lead production photographer at Ed Dull
Photography in Portland, I served clients as diverse as Freightliner,
Meier & Frank, Tektronix, Intel, Mentor Graphics, Boise Cascade and
Louisiana Pacific. Agencies included Young & Roehr, Cole & Weber
and Gerber Advertising.
1995: With a burning desire to be an early adapter of the new digital technology, I started DX Photography, a subsidiary of Young & Roehr Advertising. At DX I honed my old skills and learned new ones in digital capture, color management, digital workflow and Photoshop.
2002: I struck out on my own. At my studio in Southeast Portland I continued to provide creative lighting solutions for my clients. with state-of-the-art film and digital capabilities and 1500 square feet of well-developed studio space.
2004: My youngest son Tyler came on board to share the adventure with me. Tyler is an apprentice, assistant, and Photoshop® technician.
